October has become widely recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness month, with a focus reaching hereditary aspects, metastatic breast cancer, and the importance of screening. September 29 to October 5 is designated as National Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer Week and there are days that highlight metastatic breast cancer awareness (October 13) and mammography awareness (October 15). We bring you opportunities to learn more about breast cancer this month, in addition to disparities in access to care, including screening and treatment.
